We are looking for some dog tame teaser bucks. The buck must be over a year old, and the seller must be TB accredited, Brucellosis certified, and enrolled in a CWD monitored program since 2003. Please Email me at joe@applecreekwhitetails.com for more information or questions. Thanks.

joe , I have the perfect one for you, he got the crap beat out of him last year and had both of his antlers busted out, now there is no pedicle left on either side. with no antlers to worry about saftey would not be a concern. All you have to do is figure out a way to get him from Canada to where you live. I have great pyrenees on my farm, the deer take notice of them but have learned white dog good, dark dog bad.

Thanks for the inquiries, here at apple creek we would like to do a study with teaser bucks to check for heat detection. I know there has been farms out there that have done this in the past, has anyone had any luck or helpful tips??

Joe, check with Troy Gann out of Missouri. They used teasers for awhile. Good luck

I guess I'm a little puzzled - why would anyone use a teaser buck? If you use cidrs you know when they are ready - and if you are AI'ing you'd want them ready together - or you could stagger the cidrs to have things when you want them. It sounds like a lot of extra work to use a teaser buck when cidrs are so easy.

I Ai'd on Nov 4th last year doe Y105 to powerdrive. Four weeks later the cover buck showed no interest in her. But six weeks later he kept her cornered for three days.
I figured she took to the AI and then aborted.
At the end of March she looked like she was starting to show. Now she is showing more than any other doe I have. So Im sure she took to the AI. With this experience and others that ive heard on here how can you rely on an over eager buck to tell you what stage of the cycle the doe is in.
