Does any one have an accurate girth chart for judging the weight of a buck? I have looked at a few online and there seems to be a big difference between the charts. I am looking to find the weight of a buck that measered 51" around his chest. Thanks,

Send me your address and I will mail you a tape. They are just like the horse ones...I don't know how accurate they are but ...I will buy one for myself also and test it. I have a few Fallow deer to put in the freezer and a few Whitetail deer sold that are being moved this week...So I can test it.

I found this one for deer, it is for field dressed hunter killed deer, but it has an estimated live weight column beside it, It claims to be pretty accurate http://www.parsonsoutdoors.com/deer_weight.html

Has anyone found any charts that show what a 51" measurement would be? I have looked at some of these but the only ones I can find only go up to 46".

these charts don't take into consideration the length of the deers' body which can vary from 4 feet to 6 feet , we had a buck that was 6 feet chest to rump that weighed 435 pounds live, 225 pounds of meat,
