There. By starting a thread called Deer Tracking announcements, I don't need to start a new thread every time I want to check in with a Deer Tracking notice...!:D

Thank you to all who shared their Deer with us all through advertisments, emails and calls! Also a HUGE thanks to all who stepped up to write or submit pictures or give 'Ask the Expert' advice. You are appreciated!;)

For those of you who wonder what types of subjects we include in Deer Tracking Magazine, I have decided to share a few excerpts from some articles in this issue...
Free Agent Update Excerpt:
I love it when an already great story takes an unexpected turn. In the last issue of Deer Tracking, deer fanatics across North America (hunters and producers alike) read, in startled amazement, of what was obviously the highest scoring yearling whitetail in the world. With the obvious, however, came wonder, mystery and maybe doubt. Pictures showed a truly incredible amount of antler, but would the young rack really score the reported 350-375”? And while lack of certainty surrounded score, it abounded aplenty in pedigree. A couple parentage combinations awaited DNA proof while readers puzzled and predicted their way through the mysterious tale. Now, Deer Tracking is honoured to present, as planned, the updates to “A Story Too Big For a Title.” Unplanned, we also present a twist to the tale!.....
Scoring For Frame Excerpt:
The unusual has become the mundane, the non-typical has become the norm, and a race for inches has been foiled by a fleeing frame. That describes the present plight of deer farming across North America. We all agree we need frame…we just don’t agree on what frame is.....
Integrity & Accountability: True Success Excerpt
I may be idealistic, but I believe that integrity has less to do with what we do than with who we are. It should be the benchmark by which we
measure every decision, action, or purpose in life and business. Without integrity, there is no accountability. Without accountability, there is no
integrity. They are clearly co-dependent values. Thus said, this article may be as difficult to read as it was to write. There will inevitably be two
groups of readers, those who agree heartily with what they read and already practice it, and those who become indignant because they don’t. Any
one of our readers may interpret it as direct fire, but I must clarify that this is not intended for any one person or group. Rather
than taking a “rifle shot” at individuals, it is more productive to aim the “shotgun” at a disheartening and worsening trend in an industry of which I love being a part, but truly am beginning to fear. It is a reminder to myself, to others, and to a collective industry to be committed to conducting
business in a manner that reflects honesty, integrity and ethical conduct…always...
From the Editor Excerpt:
...I prefer a feel-good, flowery flow to my “From the Editor” column, but Tara’s integrity and accountability article spurs me to boldness. Refusing to look at that flag outside doesn’t change the fact that it’s blowing, and ignoring industry issues does not negate their existence nor allow me to claim ignorance. So, responsibility winning, with a combination of encouragement and challenge I welcome all readers to consider carefully.....
...And much much more in this issue!!
