I am looking to put up a 10' fence for a guy who wants to use galvanized post. He ask for 3" corner post and 2" inline post. Do you typically use a schedule 40 post and what supplier do you order from? When I priced schedule 40 at the local harware store I almost fainted. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

We use schd. 40 because the king-hitter works best with heavier pipe. You can get it from Stephens Pipe Supply in Port Allen La. Their price will make you faint too.

Thanks Scott. I used oil field pipe(used) before and thought it was high until I priced galvanized today!

I have been looking at using used oil well pipe as well. Do you think it is worth the additional price over treated wood post?
