Alfalfa Cubes

Anybody ever try feeding alfalfa Cubes?

the cubes that i have seen are 1 1/4" and deer don't like to bite it because it's too big and hurts the roof of their mouths

Yup same here,They are to hard for deer and i also tried to break them up and they still only picked at them and then never touched them again!!!

I hear horse owners will some times soak them in water for a couple of minutes and then feed them.?

Soaking hay does soften it up, but if you soak it for longer than 10-15 minutes you can start to leech the nutrients out.
