Would like to here from people who used the inseminator for AI. What was the conception rate? Did you do it yourself or have it done?

Inseminator Fawns,
The inseminator does are just starting to deliver. Keep you posted cant tell you how happy I was to see Maxbo, Bucky and Big Guy fawns on the ground this morning we also split the straws and Dawn our Quest customer service manager bred the does for her first time. We were able to breed each doe within less than 2 min in the pappa chute.

Did you flush Maggie to get eggs for surrogate doe to carry. I ask because it looks like she had five fawns for you. What's the deal?

La Bone Collector,
We only tested flushing once on few does and it was train reck. The reason we worked to develop and test The Inseminator was to avoid lap AI and the drugs associated. I was a little worried last year testing high value Maxbo Bucky and Big Guy straws with the Inseminator but it worked, today I tagged healthy fawns and the mom is healthy for next year with no AI scarring.

Congrats Scott!!! Sound like you have a good sound product there!! I know after a couple years now of very low or no conception rates I am looking into doing the AIing myself......can't do any worse that is for sure!! I will talk to you more about it when we come out in July!!

If you or any have Interest I can set up training for first 25 people on October 8 & 9. I will serve lunch and dinner not cost for the training hotels are at your cost. If this is of interest please post I will make this worth your time.

Hello Scott,
I thought I would go to your website and see how the farm is changing. The links for the farm and the hunting are the same, not sure if I agree with that. Anyway, they both send me to applecreek ranch and all I see is hunting. It could be my lack of computer abilities as well. But given the investment that you have made, I thought that you would have a website talking about your breeding operation.

Dr. Favero,
When I saw your post, I asked Scott if I could respond to this post.
As you must know, I am responsible for the techonology development at Apple Creek, Whitetail Quest, the Buck Channel, and Whitetail Exchange.
You are correct that we do not have our "own" specific web site that highlights are genetics. We only have the ranch website.
This may seem like a very bad business plan. But if you look further into who and what Apple Creek Whitetails is all about, this may shed some light on the topic.
Scott's and Apple Creeks's first and foremost goal is: To serve the whitetail industry.
The second goal is (and we are from Wisconsin) is to promote the hunting industry, which is our industries end product. Without this side of the industry, the breeding side would be a mute point.
We made a conscience decision to first, promote our farm through the hunting side, and at the same time, serve the industry with internet marketing, online auctions, and education by means of Whitetail Exchange, the Buck Channel and Whitetail Quest.
There will be a time after these goals have been accomplished, that Apple Creek will actively promote its genetics to our industry, but for right now, we are very happy that we can serve, help and educate others in our industry.
I hope this better explains our position and I hope in years to come, that our future genetics website will offer all your needs.

Just tagged another 16 Inseminator fawns with Joe and my daughter Emma. This brings us to over 200 healthy Inseminator fawns on the ground. We have over 38 on the bottle. This last year we spaced our Inseminator AI's over several weeks to not be hit so hard at one time and have ability to spend more time with first week of bottle feeding. So far working great. Had one more opening for the Inseminator class. If interest please post. I only posted this on Deer Farmer as to thank you for all the great information we have gained by your members. Thank You!!!

What a gift today!! Last breeding season we had two does break their legs. Our vet did amputation. After a few weeks we used the Inseminator to breed with no back ups. Today we have double breed Full House doe fawn and Two Flees Bucky buck fawns. The two try pod does are happy mothers.

Sorry to hear about the does. Why did you amputate? I had a doe break a back leg and it was swinging but now you can't tell which leg she broke.
