Is any one having the same experience that I am haveing with larger multiple births. Not so much triplets, but with quads and quints , we had quints born on the 17th of May and lost one of the does last night she was 2 1/4 lbs. at birt and was up to 3 lbs. , they were out in their small pen and got rained on ,temp 60 deg. fah. ,she developed a slight wheeze on Monday , treated her, she at 125 ml at 4 o'clock pm on Tuesday and was dead Wednesday morning. I know that lungs are the last organs to fully develop , is this preventable in large multiples or are some of them just put on this earth looking for a place to die. I have always said that I would take 8 lb, twins over 4 lb. triplets anyday.

Curtis, I with you on this one. Big, healthy twins are always the best. We have a set of quads last year and two made it. I know some folks can keep them alive but, I sure haven't mastered it yet.

We also prefer to get 2 big healthy fawns over trips and quads. I was really worried what Dolly would have this year. Two springs ago was her first fawning and she had trips, and last spring she had quads. Just about 2 hours ago she had her 3rd set of fawns and it looks like the talking to she got from Laurie and I worked because she gave us 2 big healthy looking fawns this year. 1 buck and 1 doe out of Big Guy. So now we have a full sister to Updraft:)
I am really happy!
