Has anyone seen Out of Bounds yet this Year?
I hear of and have seen a couple outstanding yearlings out of Shadow this year, Amos Kauffman in Pa has one with over 20 points already, Amos has raised some exceptional yearlings previously like Harry Strawser's Ridgid but says he has never seen anything like this one he has now. By the way Amos mentionsed that it was ok to mention this.

Is that right Rick? Very cool. I figured Shadow would be a hit. Here is a short version of a pedigree from a buck fawn born here this spring. It is the short version because it is deeper than I could fit on there using this method.
I was actually talking with a friend yesterday that I might put this fawn at auction this year. Think there would be much interest in this matchup?

Here you go Randy,
Triplets born in 2007 out of a doe AI'd and purchased from Bill Pettinger.
Sire: JRV Chance
Dam: Redoy Hightop / Lolli Brothers Winchester.
These are two of the three in the first pic. The second pic is the third. So far so good, but we'll have to see how they finish out. The buck on the right in the first pic is the bottle fed and the runt when they were born that tore his rack up three times last year as a yearling and almost didn't survive as a new born fawn.

We have a pen full of Timberjack yearlings. They all look great. I don't even know which one to take a picture of! Here are some. The first 3 are Timberjack/Marti Gras. I'm not sure of the dam side of the other yet. The first one is looking really good. He was bottle fed (they all are), but he is huge. I bet he weighs 175+ lbs! I say that because i didn't really get a good picture that does him justice. he had a later start as well. But ill show you guys anyway!

Reed, I use the Cuddeback because I get to choose from dozens of pictures per day, I get pictures of everyone I can't get close to (without causing a potential hazard) and the camera is working even when I'm not there. I spend plenty of time choring every day, but I get a good look at what is going on at night or in the mid-day when I'm not around.

Steve - Barkley and Cole don't get on the internet much so I try to keep everyone up to date on what's happening down there. One thing you are absolutely right about is the number of BIG deer that they have been consistenly putting on the ground for years now. The best part of their herd is that nearly all of the big boys have come from their own genetics... not to mention the impressive width that is very consistent on their bucks. They just started AI'ing a few years ago so it will be interesting to see how the outcrosses produce.
Hoss is looking big as usual, but I didn't get a chance to get any photos of him. I will keep you guys up to date on the bucks growing out this year.
I'll let them know that you were asking about their deer... I'm sure they will appreciate it.

Patch is now 6 years old. He scored 120 @ 2, 148 @ 3, 167 @ 4, 172 @ 5. This year he is bigger than ever and growing fast. He has always had a clean typical rack, with some years having split brow tines. This year he is still clean and much heavier.
Last year he started to sprout G-5's but they didn't make much. Looks like this year he may just have them. Can you imagine a 6 x 6 typical piebald scoring in the 180's?
Patch has sired 11 fawns so far this year. 6 piebalds, 3 whites and two browns. Patch is the father to the white buck pictured in our avatar, his name is Morton. Morton scored 168" @ 3 with a 25" inside spread.
I wish you lived closer Isaac. You could get some awesome pictures of him. He is very tame.

Meadowview...
Elam, those deer are looking great!
I was wondering if EL Change has the same mother as the BJ/PA doe fawn my partner Paul and I picked up from you a couple of weeks ago? I think she does, but wanted to check with you first to make sure before I put that in her file.
By the way, she is doing great, no problems on the way home (15 hours). Good and healthy, eating like a horse.
We would like to thank you again for an outstanding deer, a perfectly smooth transaction, and a flawless transfer. It was great meeting you and the others, you have a great place. Thanks again and hope to talk to you at some of the future shows and auctions.

Hi Mark and Paul,
Thank you also for a great transaction! We are glad to hear that she is doing well after the long trip home. To answer your question, W-0011 on the Dam side is the mother to EL Change. She is PA Geronimo on top of EL Sara which produced our 6X6 Typical EL Johnny. You got an exceptionally well bred fawn for a very good buy. Take good care of her, I know you will...
For the rest of you that are reading this post from Mark, we have some more really well bred Whitetails to sell with genetics from: Rolex, Sundowner, Rolls Royce, PA Geronimo, Cash (Maxin/Maxbo/Max), BJ (FB to Bucky), Barry Bonds (Sire to EL Bondie) and more! As you can see from the comments above, we try to treat everyone right and offer a fair price. Give Elam Lapp a call for more info: 717-692-4759. Thanks!

Yeah he is looking pretty good, one of those bucks that really just hangs out until July and then pours it on. Last year I thought he was maybe going to score 200" at 2. Once we went to tape him, I got a nice surprise- 243". I have some bucks that jump out early and never really finish and others that just hang around and lull you to sleep.
I am pretty excited about his yearlings this year as well. They are looking good. I have some pretty crazy pedigrees this year out of Midnight- so we will see....

Matt uses another good option for those like us who are not in an area where high speed is available. Recently a wireless company started providing a new service around the central part of WI also. It is a base station of sorts that sits in your house, that picks up a wireless signal like your cell phone. Only it plugs into your computer and gives you high speed internet. The guy I know who uses it loves it. He said he never knew there was so much stuff on the internet he was missing before. I want to say it is like $40 per month for that service. Cheap really for what you get.

Isaac you keep raising the bar with your video editing.
The straight away shot of Mojave is particularly impressive.
Bruce I do agree with you. That video is incredible. The way the video plays is almost like watching a DVD movie.Isaac keep up the GREAT work!

Hey Joe. I got your text with the pictures. They are looking good for sure. That Geronimax 2 yo on the right looks like he's going to be a dandy. Good luck.
