Does anyone know how to stop a doe from chewing the tails off of fawns?
Also what should be done for fawns new stub.

Make sure the tail bone isn't sticking out farther than hide. If so need to cut the bone back so skin can heal over. ZZ

I'm on the third generation of tail biting.It just keeps being passed down and I'm waiting to see what this mom and her two year old will do to their fawns this year.The only way I know to stop this is get rid of the doe.These two does have bunny tails and are not marketable.Deer Digest April 2000 I wrote a article on Whitetails with bunny tails.
