Thanks to everyone who consigned to the 2011 Midwest Select! We have sent the consignments out for jury, and should be contacting every one by this Friday Dec 3rd. With over 560 consignments and 140 Deer Farms in the mix, we are anticipating the best sale to date for the 2011 Midwest Select! All of your lots that were submitted are by far the best group we have ever had.

Where does the indutry look like it is heading Eric?

Drew, That is a good question. From the looks of things the breeder market is making a little rebound. From the looks of the Chupps Auction catalog, what I have heard is in the TOP 30 Sale, and the looks of our consignments for the MIDWEST SELECT, there are some really good deer up for sale this fall. I do not expect the prices to just go back up through the roof, but I do expect to see some really good prices this winter.

As for the Hunting ranches I am still getting a few calls from some still looking for Stockers. Just as last year some folks panicked and sold or cut their bucks early. Now that hunting season is over, many hunters did not bag a buck of their liking and are starting to call around to itch that scratch.

All in All, I look for the market to make some gradual gains this winter and as I have said before, I like small gains rather than big ones. If we can keep progressing up we will be fine.
