I am interested in possibly purchasing a wide (25+)buck this year. I am in Alabama so I need to work out a deal where i can leave on the farm where i purchase it.. A good pedigree is a bonus and i would like him to throw width.. I like the look where he goes straight out like Texas Tea or Energizer.. If anyone has one please let me know and we will see if we can work something out..Thank you and God Bless

Just curious why were u wanting to leave the deer on the persons farm, can u not bring in deer to Alabama??? What were u wanting just semen rights??? what exactly were u wanting.

We can not bring deer in. Just semen.. It's probably cheaper to buy the deer than semen rights on a buck. I don't have to have the big name bucks. This is a possible chance for two small farms to work out a deal. Usually the big boys buy a buck from the small guys and market it. I am just looking for a buck that I can buy at a reasonably price and benefit both involved.

I've got a coming two year old that's going to be wide this year. His name is Rolo, a Maxbo son out of Reno's full sister. He was a pretty clean ten 140" and 19" inside as a yearling . I'm guessing he is at least that now and hasn't even bumped for G2s. Get me an email and ill send you a couple of pics tomorrow! Jason DCW

Richard, I am a licensed game breeder in the state of Alabama like you. I have five bucks on my friends farm in Indiana, Russ Bellar. He owns X-Factor 509 6/8. Two were two year olds. One scored 287 2/8 out of Silver King (double drop tines) goes back to Patrick 111. The other one we bought from Russ Walk jr (GoldDust) out of RoldGold he scored 328 as a two year old. He is 100 inches bigger than RoldGold was at the same age. Another one is 348" @ 3 years old goes back to Walks Magnum. And one is 372" @ 3 years goes back to Thunderstorm & Thunder. The last one is a yearling out of X-Factor that was in the 190's as a yearling. I think we will have three or four bucks over 400 inches this year Give me a call or email. I'll also have some X-Factor buck fawns in a few weeks.

Here is a buck we call "Nobama" that we are selling at John Yoders Great Lakes Classic auction in August. Nobama is a son of Waylon and his mother is a daughter of Highroller. She is also the mother of our buck Moses. Nobama was used to breed 5 Moses daughters last fall and that is the only breeding he has ever done and he has never been collected. Nobama scored 232" last year and that does not count 6-8 inches of broken tine. If interested, send me a PM:)

We are also selling Moses at the Great Lakes sale. Moses is a son of Flees Bucky and a Highroller doe. Moses will sell with 100+ straws of semen, already collected and in storage.

Our other lot in this sale will be the mother of Moses and Nobama. This Highroller daughter is a real producer, averaging triplets with each birth. She will be sold "bred" and the buyer gets to choose any buck in the industry to breed her to. I will split the cost of the straw of semen 50-50 with the buyer and then split the straw with another doe on my farm when we AI. There will be a $5000 limit on this straw ($2500 each). Of course the buyer can pay more but my limit is $2500 for half the straw. Also, the buyer can choose any straw of semen that I have in my accounts and breed her for free without any additional cost.

For more info or questions on any of these sale lots, send me a PM or email - (don@higginsoutdoors.com) or call (217)752-6829:)

Here is our ad for these sale lots. By the way, both Moses and Nobama are off to great starts with their antler growth and I expect they will both be bigger than ever.
