Ok I am new to the breeding game this is our first year fawning and great outcome so far. This may get a little a little wordy and I appologise.
This was my breeding schedule:
Oct 7 4:00 p.m. CIDR's in - 70 hrs 10 min
Oct 24 2:30 a.m. CIRD's out - 54 hrs
Oct 26 Lap AI 8:30 a.m. 0 hrs
Nov 14 3:35 p.m. backup buck + 19 dys 7 hrs 15 min.
Dec 10 Back up pushing doe hard + 45 dys
AI fawning date was May 10th back up fawning date was the 29th. We are already a week past that so I would say the back up caught her on the third cycle which that date should be around the 24th of June.
This is my thoughts if she is the same next year. After pulling CIDR's should she be bred between 48-50 hours and put in with the backup at 17 days.
My question do you have deer of your own that require different breeding times than others or do they all get bred at the same time and if it takes it takes and if not the backup will cover at one point in time.
