Dirty Birds

The dang birds are taking over my feeders and bringing all their friends. I wouldnt mind feeding the little ****** if they didnt poop in the feed:eek: but since they dont have sense enough to stop I am going to have to eliminate them:D. Does anyone have any good advice for getting rid of them? Forget the kid with the BB gun trick and forget traps, I want mass elimination and I want it fast. If need be, send me a private message with your advice. Thanks!:)

We have the same problem. Other than having my little nephew and his friends up for a weekend with BB guns, I have to switch to gravity feeders for a month or so. This seems to offer a temporary solution in my case. Its a pain, but it usually slows the feeding frenzy down.

If you get a solution figured out, please let me know.... I would like to mount heat seeking missiles on the roof of the barn, but with my luck, I'd forget to turn them off when I go to feed... :D

I've got the same problem. Don't waist your money on an owl decoy either. That will only work for a couple of days. I also had a serious problem with about 300 varmints that very closely resembled squirrels. But since the daily limit on squirrels is 6. When there in season. I know that's not what they were. All I can say is that a man should only be able to have so much fun with a lawn chair, pellet rifle and a cooler of beer. Its kinda like a source of meditation. Not to mention its making me one heck of a shot.:D

My cats sit under my trough feeder all the time. They have gotten so good that they can catch a bird by just reaching blindly up and over and grabing it. Then away they go with the feast. They keep the squirrels away too. I sit on the back porch and drink beer and watch them do the work.
