I was told a while ago, a few years, that Dropzilla and Flees Prince were the same deer, that someone bought Prince and changed his name. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Thanks

If I am not mistaken, didn't Dropzilla come from Ben Coblentz?

I'll let John respond, but the answer to your question is no. It's not the same deer.

Thanks guys. That clears it up for me. I thought there was something funny about that story, I figured someone up here would know. Thanks again for the quick responses.

Dropzilla - AKA Ben Coblentz Sparky - was purchased from Ben by Dean Ziegler. As far as I know the buck named Prince in Dropzilla's pedigree was a full brother to Oscar, where I "think" they both were born on a farm in Pa owned by Jim Stutzman - if I remember his name correctly.

Oscar is the sire to Dean Bontragger's Storm, who is the sire to Magnum 228. Prince was purchased directly from Jim Stutzman by Dean Ziegler and as far as what Prince went on to produce, and who ended up with his genetics, is probably written on some old dusty notebook somewhere on someones farm.

What I have been told, Prince was never sold by Dean Ziegler but died, along with 5 or 6 other good buck, during the early years of semen collection experiments done by Dr. James Kroll.

John, I know that Oscar was at Levi Stutzman's farm in Ohio before he left to go south into Louisiana(or possibly Texas). Prince was a full or even a twin to Oscar and was at Ziegler's farm. Your story above John seems very credible and we are just trying to split the atom at this point. JOE
