A 21-year old Haines City man has been sentenced to four years of probation for beheading a 12-point breeding buck.....

Now to me, that sentence is a joke for the crime. 'round here he'd better be looking over his shoulder for those four years if not longer....... what a shame. Good luck to the Shadd's in the restitution portion......They need it if the same judge is presiding over that.

In Texas, poaching is a felony, with a penalty of 2-10 years in prison and a fine of $2,000-$10,000, plus the associated stripping of rights and privileges that come with a felony conviction.
