Sam, A while back you asked which buck could net over 200".
Very few bucks have a legitimate shot at breaking Milo Hason's net world record. Other than Pretty Boy Floyd here's one I think has got a good chance.

Hi Paul,
Mr. H is a great, great, great deer and I really like him. In fact I was talking to Bill about him and found out we own the mother (YEA!) Pretty Boy Floyd is also a great, great, great buck. And I also really like that deer too and plan on using him.
However, with that said, neither Mr. H nor Pretty Boy Floyd even come close to the Net B&C world record. Neither will make 200 Net. It is a very difficult task to net 200. It will be fun to watch which bucks come the closest this fall.
That is great picture so its fairly easy to guess his net score. See if you agree with my guesses and then you can see the math.
First, lets say he has 30 inch beams and 48 inches of mass (both above average). Now from the picture those look real close to each other so lets say there on no deductions for side to side on those measurements. (not likely but we’ll assume that).
Now the guesses for the left side – g1-4, g2-12, g3-10, g4-7, g5-1. It looks like there are 2 extras. One is the split on the g2 (7) and the other is the kicker off of that (1). That means there are 8 inches of deductions for that side.
Now the right side – g1-4, g2-12, g3-11, g4-7, g5-3. It looks like there are 3 extras of 3, 3, and 3 which gives 9 total inches of deductions on that side.
Now the difference from side to side is g3-1, g5-2. So that’s 3 inches.
Lets add it up. Total gross typical is:
Left 4+12+10+7+1+30 (beam) +24 (mass) = 88
Right 4+12+11+7+3+30 (beam) +24 (mass) =91
Now lets give him a 25 inch inside spread. That’s 86+89+25 total or 204 Gross Typical.
Now you have to subtract the difference (3 inches) and the abnormals of (8 (right)+9 (left)) and you get 184 Net. Of course he still has some growing to do and could add some typical inches. Of course he could add deductions also.
As you can see, the 200+ net typical is REALLY REALLY a freak of nature.
But I love Mr. H. and will take a pen full like him any day! HE IS A GREAT GREAT DEER!!!

Josh the last time I talk to your dad he said the Horse two year olds look great. Horse is a sleeper you can not go wrong with using that Boomer line # 35 Super doe , # 26 , # 27 are hot. I got more Horse semen and it is going in some good does. Thing is MR. H going in to antler season was down on his weight alot, took him to middle of June to get his weight back. And he still growing a good rack,I am going to poor the rice brand to him threw the winter to keep his weight on. I hope it make a different, were them big buck your hiding, I like to see some, tell your dad hi for me

Steve
Mr. H looks awsome!! I couldn't believe how well he's done being as thin as he was in the spring. I thought he was big a 30 yards, but as he got closer, he kept getting bigger!! He has an incredible frame on him. I think "the look" is an under statement when it comes to Mr. H, he would have hunters jaws on the ground as he came into view. If he keeps putting the tine length on the way he's done the last few weeks, I think he's really going to suprise some people. Keep us updated on how he finishes.

Steve, we'll be sure to get that video and photos and get it all put together by the Missouri Breeders Annual Conference on the 7th and 8th. We'll also get it up on Da Buck Channel and post them here so everyone can see this great typical. I can't wait to see what he has put on in the last couple weeks. See you soon.

What a great typical buck. I was able to stop by the farm today and see Mr. H as well as Flip Jr. I was surprised by the typical frame of Mr. H as well as his laid back demeanor. I was able to see him up close and personal. I think a few of my does will need to use his as well. By the way, keep me updated on those two big yearlings. I definitely have them in mind next fall for breeding. I think some folks are going to be real surprised when those bad boys come out. Not everyday you see yearlings with ball bats for horns. Good Luck and keep growing.

Steve
Here is the link to the video I told you I would put on this thread. I couldn't believe how much he has grown when I saw him a couple days ago, but the video gives everybody a good idea what he looks like. Just add a couple on inches to each tine and that is what he looks like now.
